Sheila Cunningham’s Story

“I was just leaving the dry cleaners with a big bulky comforter in my arms. I had the keys in my right had underneath the comforter, and my cell phone in my left hand on top of the comforter. I proceeded to stuff the comforter into the trunk of the car not realizing that in doing so, I released the key from my right hand.

As soon as I slammed the trunk, I immediately felt that sunken in feeling in my stomach. I locked the key in the trunk without unlocking the car first.

The first thing I thought was to panic, but as I walked around the car towards the front drivers side door, I saw the onstar sticker (duh), I immediately called onstar told them what the problem was and after giving the onstar representative my information, “my golly, ms molly”, it was like “puff” thoses locks popped right up.

That made my complete day. It’s totally amazing how far technology have come. Thank you OnStar, you are totally awesome.

Do you realize what I would’ve needed to do had I not had OnStar. Well let me tell you. I would of needed someone to come pick me up to go all the way back home to get my other spare key, then return to the site, Or, waited for roadside assistance to come and try to get me in. Who knows how long that would have been. OnStar….you really came to my rescue within minutes.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
