Carol Roger’s Story

“My name is Carol Rogers and I have a story to tell.

I have owned several Buicks in my past. Last week the transmission went on my 2004 Ranier and having very much liked everything about the car and with over 90,000 miles on it, decided on a trade-in once again for another Ranier – the latest model I could find was a beautiful 2007 with 30,000 miles. I owned this car for one day and was unfortunately in a terrible accident yesterday. I feel the quality workmanship and superior construction of the vehicle saved my life. Please make sure GM reorganizes to become a good viable company again.

I pulled out in heavy traffic from a median area onto a northbound high speed, double lane major highway. I underestimated the truck’s speed and he was jockeying lanes. My car was hit broadside and forced me with a hard impact into the grassed median strip. The car was sliding up and back up into the southbound oncoming traffic. I feel the car saved my life when I applied the brakes hard it came to a quick stop, the side air bags inflated quickly cushioning the impact. I felt completely protected and of course my seat belt performed well.

The car came with OnStar and within 3 seconds the OnStar operator called and was right there with me the whole time and took over the situation with expediency, concern and compassion. Emergency vehicles arrived within minutes – thanks OnStar. She also contacted my husband using several phone numbers on record to reach him. She stayed with me until everyone arrived. The OnStar commercial is 100% correct. I also had 4 wonderful women that stopped to help instead of just driving by. And of course, God was there – my time was not up yet.

Again, thanks for the quality workmanship of the care and the very professional role that OnStar played.”
