Foolproof Cross-Country Trip
When Valerie Simmons of Yonkers, N.Y., bought a new Saturn VUE, she didn’t know just how handy and helpful OnStar would be three days later when she began a late-summer road trip to bring her daughter to college in Alabama.
“It’s just a wonderful travel aid, I absolutely adore it,” says Simmons. “Whenever we stopped somewhere for gas or for the night, then restarted the car, OnStar was right there asking if we needed to be rerouted.”
After Simmons dropped off her daughter Lisa for her freshman year at college, she decided to ask OnStar to route her entire trip back to Yonkers instead of taking the directions she had mapped out from a Web site.
