"Scariest Moment Behind the Wheel" – Stephanie Todd
“Probably the most frightening thing I have ever been through – January 23, 2009 we were driving home in the afternoon from work when a car side swiped the car in front of us and was staring at us going 55 mph. He hit us head on and was t-boned by the car behind us. Airbags were deployed, he shoved us backwards probably about 25-30 yards and practically backed us into a church parking lot, within seconds onstar was talking to us and sending help along with officers to help. I would never own another car without having onstar available. It is amazing how quickly everyone came to our rescue. Luckily, I had a broken foot and my husband took a really nasty knock to the head from the rear view mirror flying off. The young man that hit us had a few broken bones and alot of lacerations but considering, he was very lucky after having to be extricated from his car. I eventually had to have surgery to correct the bone – but thank the good Lord for watching out for all of us, the quick r esponse and airbags and seatbelts! I feel like onstar provided help for all of us due to having it in our pontiac!”
