OnStar RemoteLink App Unlocks Doors from Miles Away
We recently purchased our new 2011 GMC truck. While activating OnStar on the vehicle and reading the papers that came with it, I discovered there was an app for the iPhone for OnStar.* I downloaded it and got it set up.
The other day my husband went to visit his brother, who lives about 3 hours from us. On the way home he stopped to get gas. He left the keys in the truck, but had his cell phone on him. He called to tell me the doors locked and he couldn’t get in and asked me to see if I could get them unlocked. I used the OnStar app on my iPhone and within a minute or two at the most, I received a message that the doors were unlocked. I called him back and sure enough, they were unlocked. What a lifesaver! I know we could have called OnStar, but this was even easier.
